dan and carolyn have the night off. the rescue effort is going on right now on fitzgerald drive in pinole. alan wang is live on the scene with the latest. >> ama, we are here at the best buy in pinole, and that guy is still stuck in the drainpipe about 20 yards up the hill behind me. firefighters from pinole and the surrounding area are using shovels to dig up the pipes and possibly using heavy machinery to break into it. it started around 8:00 tonight when a customer here at the best buy in pinole heard the faint voice of a man calling for help. at first they couldn't figure out where it was coming from. and then they tracked it to a storm drain. the security guard at best buy said the man was sleeping in the pipe which is slanted at a 50 degree angle, and somehow he sliped so far down they could only hear him faintly calling for help. jay been able to make physical and verbal contact with him. we tried to lasso his hands, but he is tightly in there. we are excavating the drainpipe right now. i have resources from pino
